Welcome Alex Parker-DeJesus!

Alex Parker-DeJesus is joining Calmglow as our Functional Dietitian. 

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, health coach, and wellness activist, Alex is passionate about all things food, wellness, and behavioral change. Her goal is to educate, inspire, and help individuals to take charge of their own health while living the highest quality of life possible! 

In February, she relocated to hot and humid Florida from the West Coast with her husband, two dogs… and soon-to-be baby boy!  A certified wellness coach and health advocate who finished her IFNCP credential in 2019, Alex practices patient-centered care and helps others through functional medicine. 

Alex has worked helping people with multiple chronic diseases like Type 2 Diabetes, CVD, obesity and weight management, autoimmune, and gastrointestinal conditions. In her previous life, she attended Johnson & Wales University for foodservice management and culinary, as well as Kennesaw State, Norfolk State, and Iowa State for wellness coaching, nutrition & food science, and exercise physiology. 

Alex knows first hand how functional medicine can help. She found functional medicine after spending many years trying to figure out why she felt drained and in pain with no answers from the conventional medicine model. Using a root-cause approach and looking at the whole person to identify system imbalances, she was able to put the pieces together and eventually create the life she desired. 

Alex understands how difficult it can be to make lifestyle shifts, but how valuable it can be to living a balanced and quality life. In her free time, she enjoys cooking delicious (and healthy) food, hiking (or just being outdoors), swimming in the ocean, and traveling anywhere and everywhere (pre-COVID!). She is thrilled to be a part of an organization that recognizes the importance of functional medicine and true health! She looks forward to working with each and every one of you!

We are excited to have Alex join our Calmglow family. We look forward to learning how to have fun with food with Alex and discovering all of Alex’s tips and tricks on the small, painless diet tweaks which will propel us on our journey of health!
